Drawings of People With Glasses
I was just reminded of this book by Jon Huck. I love his breakfast series and might have to post my own tomorrow. The drawings are equally grand.

Bah Humbug!
I have been busy, busy, busy trying to catch up and acclimate to a new personal chef gig that is turning out to be a lot more work than I have anticipated. The funny thing about that is I have tons of new recipes to post to unique eggbeater but no time.
Unlike most bloggers I probably will get more posted over the holidays than I can under normal conditions. And, I look forward to it.
I will sleep in. Eat a delicious breakie. Open presents and watch the kitties open their (*ahem) delights. (giggle giggle)
Until then I leave you with a link to Keetra Dean Dixon's website that is bursting with visual delights. I found her through Tornados in Brooklyn.
Enjoy!

Eco- Skirt
I swear I was looking for something else. I officially add this skirt from Levis' Eco line to my holiday wish list. In fact I love the whole outfit. Sweater tights, high heel brown Mary Jane's.

1.) French Shopping Basket for Sauvie's Island vists. I like the one with the long handles.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
No One Belongs Here More Than You
3.) Big Comfy Socks

5.) Dainties

Green Graffiti
This is Edina Tokodi. She makes graffiti out of moss. I love how art is reflective of current socio-political topics. Just another great example. Read about her here.
Little Black Flats
I go through black flats. Quickly.
I've needed a new pair for about 2 months.
I like this pair, need, noted, cute as can be, yes please, & these

Jammies
I am a sucker for jammies. I like the dainty, super soft cotton anything-s. I had a pajama renaissance after spending the entire week writing papers in my lounge wear. Then I took inventory and realized that I have the same rotating sets that I have worn for 5 years and they are grungy.
I love the new looks here, here & here.
Soap Making
Last year I made a bunch of soaps for family members as holiday gifts. It was great of impromptu hostess gifts etc. I don't really have the time this year but if anyone else does I highly recommend it. I order my supplies from a great company in Bellingham, WA called Bramble Berry. They have a great selection of organic soap bases, bali sea salts and dried flowers for additives.
We also made moisture rich bath bombs and soy candles. I really liked this idea of making Savon de Marseille with melt and pour bases. I'm almost regretting my decision to not do this for gifts this year.
What a treat!

Diana+
Someone special is getting the Diane+ from me this year. I think they will be super excited. I am hoping that I will get some prints for my walls out of the deal.
Maybe I'll throw in some expired film to boot.

Children's Books
I am super nostalgic about things from my childhood. I share this passion with my sister. When I was growing up my Favorite kids book was "But No Elephants" by Jerry Smath. It has been out of print for ages but I thought that I would search amazon just in case.
What I found was not only did sellers have used copies but they were selling them for dirt cheap plus shipping. I got two copies from a local book sellers but the combined total was less than $10 for two.
I searched again for another book I wanted to get for my whole family but am not in a position to spend $20/ ea on top of their gifts. There were 3+ copies for about $5.00/ea including shipping.
Gift giving is looking up for this lady on a budget.
What is your favorite children's book?

Clark and Michael
My internal conversation goes something like:
Evil Jessica: Dang these two are adorable in the nerdy, sloppy first kiss, fumbling make-out kinda way.
Good Jessica: Yes, young. They are practically fetuses.
Evil Jessica: What? I can still look and from a distance. The one in brown is looking right at me saying "yeah you hottie" with his eyes....and body. Plus I think the one in yellow has a (hetero-notmaive) boner you just can't see it. NSFW you know?
Good Jessica: Get to work on your papers and stop watching their videos. Your drool is going to damage your keyboard and make your computer short circuit or something. Then there will be no nerds for you!
No seriously. This site will suck up like 12 hours of your day if you let it. Hooray for the cleverly hip, the young and the motivated!
What to Wear: Company Holiday Party
I like these skirts. ( Can't remember where I found it but it is most likely foreign.)
And these outfits from lucky outfit of the day:
