I had a crazy art teacher in college that literally had a "garbage journal". he collected garbage everyday, and made things from it. he even made a jacket. see the jacket here and the rest of his madness here.
when i was at the museum of fine art in boston, there was a display of these artists work. it was seriously amazing. especially when you get close and try to figure out what is making the shadows. love it.
