Blame Booze & Melville

I have a confession.

Right before leaving for Mexico I decided I needed a new series for background as I worked. After hearing so much about Gilmore Girls I embarked on a catastrophic journey. After three episodes I was hooked.

The witty banter!
The pop culture references!
The honest depiction of high school girls!

There are 7 seasons. 22 episodes each. I (ashamedly) made it through all by yesterday morning.

Then the sorrow set in.
I am going through a major withdrawals. I want Rory, Luke, Lorelei, even Paris. I miss them.

Last night I fell asleep listening to writer Amy Sherman-Palladino's Fresh Air interview circa 2005 in a last-ditch effort to cling onto all things Gilmore.

To bid ado I leave you with this mash-up of Gilmorisms and am not* re-watching them from the beginning as I work today.

*tee hee* One of my girlfriends has been trying to get me to watch this for years...I am more of a sci-fi geek; I've been addicted to episodes of Battlestar Galactica for the past few weeks, and can't get enough! I'm sure I will go through withdrawls, too!

reruns are on at 5pm here. It's pretty much the only thing that can get me to rush to the gym.

It's a perfect series for all the reasons you stated- I want to live in Stars Hollow but as a substitute maybe I should just purchase the series...

Gilmore Girls left a hole in my life as well. I was so hooked.

I watched Bad Santa this year (lauren graham is in it) and it made me yearn for the good ol days.

Thanks for reminding me though! Its been long enough since I watched that the episodes will be somewhat fresh!

This is my favorite show, and I can say I've [repeatedly] watched the entire 7 seasons in as little as a week. I actually find myself accidentally quoting it a lot, only to realize that my clever remark was actually something I'd absorbed from the show.

Alert the corgies!

Don't worry, they are fun to watch over again! I think I have seen all the episodes they show on ABC family at least 5 times. :/

ME TOO! Die hard fan from the start here! My boyfriend thinks it's annoying but I don't care. I want to live in that world!

Jess--I adore GG so so much! It's the perfect series and I was so sad to see it go. I wanted to be in that world: wearing their clothes, eating at Luke's, going to plays at Miss Patti's, attending festivals, speaking their language (and sounding so cool doing it).

When are we moving to Stars Hollow?
