The boy and I are talking about doing a Palm Springs/ Death Valley memorial day road trip. I picture it being something like this.

Shoes-day Tuesday

Today's post is in honor of one of my favorite Portland shoes store finally launching an online shopping site.

I go to this store for last minute bargain Jeffrey Campbell, Biviel and Corso Comos. Most often the shoes I am looking for no one else wants.

Go figure!

Perfect Ombré, Perfect Weekend

Camped in Santa Cruz surrounded by the scents of a eucalyptus forest and strawberry fields.

Lazed on the beach and read a Vanity Fair cover-2-cover while the boy surfed.

Looked at some catamarans.

Enjoyed the near perfect sunny, high 70s weather.

I can get used to this.

Bouncing Back

I have had an intense couple of weeks. Part of it included a move to a new place. 24-hours in one of my kitties Björn got out and hasn't come home. (Hard way to learn my front door doesn't always completely latch.)

The day I posted the cat standing video me and my old roommate spent a half hour trying to teach Björn how to stand like that cat. Then we joked about making him wear a suit, tie and monocle.

Part of me hasn't wanted to replace that video.

It is time.

I have done everything I can and I think all my new and old neighbors are sick of me roaming the neighborhood at all hours looking for him.

I am about 2 weeks away from becoming a Cathy cartoon.

Making my day.

I have been sick while juggling a two moves, traveling and work. A friend sent this to me and it made me smile.

My cats were going crazy last night in the new place. I should train them to stand on their hind legs and be cute.

Fall 2010

It isn't even warm. I haven't bought a new pair of sandals for the summer. I am still wearing tights and yet I cannot wait for Fall.

These sneak peaks into J.Crew's Fall 2010 catalogue make me want to keep wearing the tweed, thick knits and leather boots. It channels a bit of Daisy Buchanan.
