It has been stressville over here in Heartthrobs Central. There is the doom a gloom of a potential move to California. This would entail moving my business and starting over.
For real.
Or not and the implications of that including an in town move. (Side note, I HATE moving.)
I have been a ball of stress all week.
On the way home from my Thursday 7am networking meeting Jens Lekman came on my iPod.
I sang. I car danced. I smiled and felt relaxed for the first time in 10 days.
Plus there is the added bonus of thinking of what a babe Jens is. Instant cure.
So beautiful. My hair is almost long enough to braid again.
As soon as it is I am trying this. I used to be really jealous of girls in elementary school that had intricate braids. Fishtail braids always seemed so complex but they sound super easy.
How To:
• Divide the hair you want to braid into two equal sections. • Start a fishtail braid by holding the right section with your right hand. Then, using your left hand, pick up a one-eighth-inch chunk of hair from the outside of the left section and cross it over to the inside of the right section. • Repeat on the other side: Hold the left section in your left hand. Use your right hand to pick up a one-eighth-inch chunk of hair from the outer right section and cross it over to the inside of the left section. • Continue picking up small sections and crossing them over until you reach the ends of your hair. • Secure with an elastic.
It is a huge, cumbersome task to even get in the chair.
I am sick and have deadlines. I want to lay in bed and watch project runway all day or look at my gigantic Harper's Bazaar that just arrived, chock full of inspiring spring fashion.
On another note, I love it when visuals accurately explain how you feel.
I have had a ridiculous work week. Today I will be comforting my work day with more than 3 hours of sleep and the new electro-opera from The Knife. Here is the teaser release that I have been listening to all January.
